The Planning Permit – The Story
Every winery has a story before the first grape is ever crushed.
For Nayia Winery, that story began long before the building itself.
What started as a simple idea gradually became a vision a small winery overlooking the hills of Pafos, focused on two wines and a clear philosophy.
Turning that vision into reality required patience.
Obtaining the planning permit took nearly five years and required approvals from more than ten government departments in Cyprus. The process was long, complex, and often challenging, but it also strengthened the determination behind the project.
In 2025 the project finally received official approval.
Construction is expected to begin in 2026, with the first test run planned for 2027.
If all goes well, the first official production will take place in 2028 a year that will mark the true beginning of Nayia Winery.
Some wineries begin with vineyards.
Ours began with patience, persistence, and a dream.
Now the rest is up to time and to the wine itself.
