Subject: Complaint about Unjustified Behavior by the Paphos Planning Authority
Dear Minister,
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the treatment I received from the Paphos Planning Authority, following a complaint filed against me by Ms. L. L., Director of Planning and Housing, EOA Paphos, and Ms. Georgia Spyrou, EOA Paphos Officer.
I was called to the Police Station, where I described the events that led to the complaint honestly and accurately. However, I feel the need to bring to your attention some additional information that, unfortunately, I was unable to fully document.
Having worked in five different countries, both developing and developed, I have never encountered a similar situation before. I chose to return to my homeland and invest, rather than continue my career abroad. Unfortunately, however, my experience with the Paphos Planning Authority borders on unacceptable behavior and severely undermines my faith in equality and the rule of law.
I earnestly desire a prompt and fair resolution of the matter, as my time, like that of every citizen, is precious, and my family depends directly on your decisions.
I firmly believe that this case is the tip of the iceberg of problems and injustices taking place within the Planning Authority.
While awaiting your intervention, I would like to remind you of the recent statement by the President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, which focuses on the need for young people to stay and work in Cyprus. Government plans to strengthen the countryside, such as the Rural Development Program and the Housing Revitalization Plan for Mountainous, Frontier and Disadvantaged Areas, are in complete contrast to the practices I experienced at the Paphos Planning Authority.
Dear Minister,
Once again, I express my keen interest in a personal meeting with you, where we can discuss the case in detail and find a solution that meets the principles of justice and meritocracy.
Sincerely,
